Guest guest
Need some good vibes tonight. I think I may have " blown off " one of my part-time jobs tonight. I got started on an account as of Friday, 1/17/03, First off, had trouble getting in to get the work. Then was told to only " speed read " as we were checking content not actually proofing the account. It was never indicated to me that the files would be placed about 4:30 a.m. I was told that they were due back to the office by noon. I have done 2 batches of this account and am already in trouble. I worked on it over the weekend, then was told I did not do them all -- some were missing. Well I checked and, sure enough, there were 3 more files to look at. When I was in trouble for that, I went back and checked the properties and found out they had been placed at 4:35 a.m. I fired off an e-mail asking if this was the way it was and that I would have to reconfigure some things in my life -- but if this is the way the work came in that I would do that -- I have yet to receive a reply to those questions (or any questions regarding this account). I also sent an e-mail stating that someone else would have to do that account today since I had a doc appointment and did not know how long it would take for that (most of the day, it turns out). When I finally get home and check e-mails -- I am not sure where I stand with the accounts. They also accused me of only attaching 2 out of the 3 files. I bcc'd myself (as I do with all of the things I send back to them) and on what came through to me all 3 files were attached -- so, I am at a loss on this one as well. Oh, BTW, another account I was proofing I was told is picked up on Thursday and not due back until the following Thursday. Files finally came in and I did them over the weekend, but they wanted them back immediately. I included this in my e-mail to them. Thanks for listening to my ranting and raving. I also fired off an e-mail stating that I would presume the files for today were checked and I was confused and would not do any more until I heard back from them specifically what I was to be doing. I may have lost this job, but everything happens for the best. Gai
