Is this in Canadian dollars I assume? Any idea what that translates to

in American dollars? I have no idea what the exchange rate is like. I

personally love Canada. I'm sure it's too cold to live there though. :-)

I think we're considered middle class (maybe lower middle class) and my

husband makes about $45,000. Our house costs $135,000 and it's only a two

bedroom rancher. We do ok though all our bills are paid and I don't have to

work. We don't really do out too much though.

OMG! You cant get squat for that! I wish you could. Its so strange how different

places have totally different prices. So if your parents area was costing

$80,000 that is just dirt cheap! ~sigh~ You cant get anything here.

Average salary here in town is about $35-45K. Jeff makes $65 and if he does his

tv commercials from time to time it is more. Jeff is an engineering asst. He

does CAD, surveying, and he is the network administrator for 3 offices in 3

different cities.

What's an average salary there? If I convert our income into US currency,

the Bank of Canada says the US amount is $32,000. Marc is a skilled

tradesman, so he makes more than a general labourer or someone in retail,

but less than a technologist, engineer, or business person.

I jusdt wanted to add, in case you think we're flush... our bills total

$14,000 yearly, and our grocery bills (I'm buying for a 300lb man who's

almost 7 feet tall and a 4 foot 6 inch six year old) total roughly $4000.

Canadian, we WOULD be flush!!!! :-)
