Guest guest
I cannot seem to find SCD information on what temperature to keep my dehydrator when making yogurt. The dehydrator booklet says 115F (46.1C) but from recent discussion it seems that that is too high. I have been setting it at 105F and when I put a temperature probe inside (not in the yogurt) the temperature cycles regularly and consistently up and down between 107F (41.7C) and 114F (45.6C) or sometimes between 105F (40.6C) and 113F (45C). The yogurt seems very nice. Am I killing the good bacteria? Since I cannot seem to keep the dehydrator at a constant temperature, between what temperatures am I trying for? Thanks for any help, , mom to , age 9, ASD, SCD 10 months
Guest guest
Hi , Are you able to set your dehydrator a little lower? Elaine recommends 100- 110F for making the yogurt in BTVC.
