From what I understand, APOM refers to a radiological view.

This is a great group. New info and tips come so fast I can hardly keep up with

it. I saw the AP open mouth view. I always thought that this was a standard view

as part of what we were taught was either a 5-view or 7-view series of the

neck, used whenever there was suspected trauma. The APOM is the only way to get

a clear AP view of the dens to check it for fracture. I thought the radiologists

used it too. Ken
