Speaking of heat I make my own heating pad and they are ot electrical and I know everyone has seen or heard of them but I love then cause they conform to almost any spot and hold the heat for quit sometime. I was the white was and when I have a sock without a partner it becomes a heating pad. I buy a big box of minute rice and empty it into the sock tie the end shut and when I need it put it in the micro for about 1 to 2 minutes and oh boy does it feek good when it comes out very handy litttle things and easy to make. The trouble is, Topper, that only goes into the surface of the muscle. Lack of thyroid effects with low body temp means that the whole muscle is close to rigid. Of course, if it's one of the very tiny muscles that sits at the surface of the body, then I guess that would help. Or sitting in a nice hot tub of water, maybe.

You ladies know that when I get in hot water with my feet, that will actually help me.

All I have to do is do it for about 10 mins, and it fixes it. Also what else stops the burning/Cold toes, fingers is sleeping. Laying down under my comforter for all night, I'm totally fine, then when I get up, and sit down, it starts the process all over again.

I'm thinking perhaps its the hormone level needs adjusting still b/c this is the first time I've seen an endo in years and he hasn't adjusted them yet, he wanted to wait a little bit, which I understand why, he said he wanted to give the medicine some more time, which does make sense.

One other thing is if I excercise, the problem can go away MOST of the day also, then if I skip a day it can come back.

True... but I'm curious... would there be a benefit to reducing the heat that dissipates from the surface of the muscle by either insulating it (blanket, towel, whatever) or applying an external heat source?

Granted.. it wouldn't solve the root of the problem.... but I'm just pondering short term relief until body temp can be brought up via increase in metabolism.....

*scratching head and thinking too much!*
