Guest guest
Elle, I think Vicki's suggestion is great. I took a friend with me when Wally couldn't come, so at least I wouldn't be alone. I love the name Zoey - it's so sweet! If you push hard enough I'm sure you can get dh to agree. I always won, I just told him "I carried the baby for 9 mths and it came out of my body, I get finally say." Although I have always tried to be flexible - lol! Love & hugs, Jo-Ann Two Things Hey there!Okay, first I'm a little bummed...DH just called and he has to go to San next Tuesday evening for meetings on Wednesday. Tuesday night is our first Lamaze couples class. I've been looking forward to this for weeks! Now, I'm really bummed. I know he can't help it, but now I'm wondering if I should go by myself or just miss the first one. Everyone else will have their DH's there. :(Second, we were watching West Wing last night and another name popped into my head if we have a girl ~ Zoey. What does eveyone think??? Our last name is Royse. I thought it was kind of cute and very different. I think DH thought I was kidding. I need honest opinions here............Thanks!elle

Guest guest
Elle When we went to our 2nd childbirthing class there was a woman whos dh was away on business. She came alone. When the instructor showed us things she was the womans partner. I think you should go. I like the name Zoey. We have a Cloe at our temple. She is the cutest thing. I always get her name mixed up w/Zoey. The -2 station is where the babies head is located in the pelvis. As it goes further down you go into + numbers. I actually learned something in my childbirthing classes. Pam

Guest guest
Elle, Oh I know you must be disappointed. I know he can't help it, but it still sucks. I don't know what I would do if I were you. Could you get somebody to go with you as a "spare" partner or support buddy? Oh and I love the name Zoey!! Guest guest
Elle, I defenitely think you should go to the class without dh, so you don't feel behind the next week, and taking someone with you would be a great idea. I know how disappointed you must feel, but as long as he is there for the birth - no meetings or trips that day! I do really like the name Zoe, it has a lot of personality to it! Guest guest
Thanks DanaF! It does suck! No better way to put it! Hopefully they'll be having another class on Wednesday night and DH would be back for that Our best friends here are in Cancun until next Wednesday or else that would have been perfect since they'll be going with us to the hospital anyway. Zoey's kind of cute, huh??? It's really growing on me. I'm not sure about DH yet. We'll see......... How is Chase??? elle > Elle, > > Oh I know you must be disappointed. Guest guest
Thanks Kim! You're right...I will definately be going ~ one way or another. No, I think DH knows better than to miss the birth! He does have a Conference in South Texas October 1-5, but the Co. has already told him that should I go into labor, they will fly him down immediately in the Corporate Jet. Thank goodness it's only a 2 hour flight! Rest assured, I'll be calling him at the very first indication of any activity! Zoey does have lots of personality, doesn't it? Do you think kids would tease a little girl named Zoey though??? I think of things like that ~ kids can come up with the meanest things to say. elle > Elle, > I defenitely think you should go to the class without dh, so you > don't feel behind the next week, and taking someone with you would be > a great idea. Guest guest
Elle, I just ran Zoey through my mind trying to come up with how kids could twist it around. Zoey moey, Zoey toey, Zoey doey (I'll stop now) see - lol - nothing really there that makes any sense - I say go for it.
