Guest guest
No, not Lou, LOL! And not The Evil Mr. Putt either. ME! Lou has been taking Enrique and to do a workout three days a week. Enrique was NOT up for it yesterday. He didn't want to get out of bed and when he did he refused to get dressed or ready in any way. He told me I had to get him out of the workout. I asked, with interest, how I would do that. For Lou would certainly not listen to my opinion, even if I wanted to get Enrique out of a workout. He might listen to Enrique's but only if Enrique was sick, or tired for what Lou regarded as a legitimate reason (and I cannot think of any). Enrique won't say much to his father and so I rather figured that when Lou came to pick up Enrique that willy-nilly Enrique would go to the workout. As the time for Lou's arrival drew closer, Enriqeu grew more and more agitated. " Do something NOW! " he screamed at me and I again explained that I could not talk to Lou at all and that Enrique was welcome to try. " You won't back me up! You hate me, " he raged. I pointed out that I did agree that the workout was a good thing, and, while I would be willing to share Enrique's opinions with Lou, Lou HATES for me to tell him what his children are thinking; he wants them to tell him himself. Enrique knows this, of course. " Why are you ignoring me, " he yelled as I continue cleaning up the living room, " Why don't you answer me? " " But you hate it when I say I have nothing to say and you hate it when I saw something you know already and you always know what I am going to say. " Logic does not currently interest him. " You are stalling for time. You are just waiting for Daddy to come so that you can FORCE me to go the way you always do. " Uh-huh. Actually he has hit the nail on the head nicely there. " You are evil and vengeful! " he told me, " You are getting back at me for something I did to make you mad. " LOL! I was so amused that I could hardly speak. " Evil and vengeful? " I said to him, " Do you really think so? Because I want you to do a workout so you can lose weight and be in good health? " " YES! " he screamed. Lou arrived. Enrique went to the workout. When he returned, cheerful and happy, I asked him, " Do you think I am evil and vengeful? " He smiled sheepishly, " Well, sometimes it seems that way to me when I am in a state.
