Guest guest
hi, i had rai a little over 3 months ago. i've been on synthroid for going on 1 month, had tsh and ft4 done yesyerday but won't see my endo until monday. i went from hyper down to a normal range slowly but then quickly dropped after that. before rai my tsh was 0.011 and ft4 1.96, when i started on synthroid my tsh was 85.05 a far cry from 0.011 and ft4 .50............i have been terribly fatigued and hope things will level out soon. this will my first visit since starting synthroid. thanks guys. vicky
Guest guest
Sounds like three months has been too long a wait for you....It's pretty much a given that after RAI you're gonna go hypo, so nothing unusual there, doesn't make you feel any better, I know... but at least you dont' have to worry that something has gone wrong. Ideally he'll get you started on a dose right away. Be firm about getting your Frees (both Free T4 and Free T3) checked each time you come in, and that should be every six weeks... don't let him drag you out to the three month mark again... You'll keep us posted on how things go, don't forget we need your lab's ranges as well as your levels when we oggle your labs, and don't forget to rattle the door knob if you have any questions, right?
