Guest guest
Maybe it is an expression of distress, and they generalized it? Meaning they aren't feeling safe/secure and want to 'go' there? *shrug* -Sara.
Guest guest
, If he's saying it when he's upset, I wonder if it's his way of telling you he doesn't like what's going on? He just doesn't have the right words yet. Sue

Guest guest
After freaked out at school about the fire alarm, his aide calmed him down by saying " it's over " repeatedly. Now if something startles him he'll tell himself " it's over " . Maybe Trevor is just reassuring himself that he's home now? Tuna >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> trev's been repeating this phrase for about a week now and i really don't understand it. i mean, it made sense last week when we were spending the night at my mom's on new years, but we ARE home now and he's still saying it. he says it when he's upset. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ===== You can learn many things from children. At 5 used to say, " calm down, calm down, calm down " over and over when she was upset. It started with me telling her that and trying to calm one of her panic attacks. She did it for about 2 years. It really seemed to help. Tina
Guest guest
It reminds me of when Boone tells people bye-bye when he wants them to leave or hi when people are leaving and he wants them to stay. Sissi
Guest guest
Both the boys. I was about to say only Greggory but Alec does too. Only he does it by repeating the phrase over and over again even if it doesnt have to do with going home. To me it seems like a sort of comforting thing. The only thing I can think of is when people are really scared of someone being in the house because of a noise they keep repeating " its only the wind, its only the wind, its only the wind " . You know, stuff like that. But gReggory and Alec have done it. Jacquie H go home now? trev's been repeating this phrase for about a week now and i really don't understand it. i mean, it made sense last week when we were spending the night at my mom's on new years, but we ARE home now and he's still saying it. he says it when he's upset. the weird thing is, kailey used to say stuff like this too, but she hasn't really said that much for a while now. in other words, i don't think it's something he copied from her. what do you all think? any of your kids ever say something similar?
