Guest guest
Aileen: We have a local wholistic medical office in Boca Raton and we are treating children on the spectrum. We do an easy (no blood) test on the biochemistry which indicates many factors that could elevate anxiety. You can contact me if you are interested - check out our website www.pHtestlab.com Badillo9@... You can give your daughter 500 mg. of GABA in the morning and if she is having trouble at night sleep again at night before bed. You can buy the Bach Flower Rescue Remedy in a spray and use it at random when she is upset and having a meltdown. That will calm her down as well. Please watch her salt intake - process foods, crackers, chips, hot dogs, cold meats...everything - high salts will effect the adrenals that will in turn cause high anxiety and fear. Badillo I am hoping that I can get some help and advice from my fellow members. My daughter is 4 yrs old and high functioning. However, for approx. 6-9 mths now she has developed anxiety it is quite bad @ this point to the point where it's affecting her everyday life. I was wondering if anyone could 1) recommend a supplement to help with this and 2) if anyone knows of a professional that may be able to help with this that is experienced with children of my daughters age adn also has experience with treating patients who have ASD.Your imput will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Aileen... Guest guest
I have very good results with chamomile and valerian. If you look them up you will find they are extremely safe to use, especially if specifically formulated for children.St. 's Wort is also used for anxiety and depression but I do not recommend it because it can cause serious photosensitivity leading to sunburns from minimal sun exposure and worse... can lead to blindness if taken over a prolonged period of sun exposure. Regular, strenuous physical exercise can also go a long way toward reducing or eliminating anxiety and depression in many individuals. It helps me - when I do it.If she's verbal, discussing her issues may go a long way toward alleviating the problem. But not if she tells you something and then you don't do anything about it. For example, if she is anxious because of the way she's treated at school but you keep making her go there and nothing changes, the anxiety and depression will get WORSE instead of better. Barton, whose son was voted out of class in Port St. Lucie, had the good fortune to be able to move and put her son in a different school which has made all the difference. Now he is an honor roll student. Sometimes we have to do more than treat the symptoms - we have to dig to the root of the problem so that it can be fixed. Guest guest
Nativeremedies.com has many products I use "Brightspark" because it helps with frustration & anger. I took my son off meds, he was on low doses, and use only this product. I have been using it for over 2 years now. They have a whole line for just about everything & it's all homeopathic. It worked for my son immeditely others it took a few weeks. They have a whole Asperger's line etc... I recommend checking it out.
