Guest guest
Before deciding to raise or lower calories, I would plot him on growth chart. And not just more recent height and weight but I think I would do all I have since being on the diet to see if a pattern emerges. It may or may not give you the info you need but its worth a shot before taking a geuss whether to raise or lower calories and perhaps moving in wrong direction. My other thought is change in sleep patterns in and of itself could be enough to trigger seizures. He may be doing something different sleepwize as he gets a little older and his brain and body just need to adjust to this. But I do agree that if you are going to change anything do calories first. Also about him being more hungry lately, as counterintuitive as it is, that could mean too many calories, I have seen it with Jess twice now where cutting back calories actually decreased hunger. I have a friend who calls it the Golidlocks syndrome, everything has to be just right for that particular little body. Of coure, hunger can also mean more calories are needed - ain't life grand, always a geussing game! Whatever you do, one change at a time and then WAIT - I would see three to four weeks preferably. Also what are you using for a vitamin/mineral supp? Some kids experience problems after being on diet for a while due to inadequate nutrition , 's mom
