You Asked: ', It would be very easy to give digestive enzymes through the j tube. You would dissolve the digestive enzymes in water (dissolves immediately) and then give it through the tube. Flush the tube with 20-30ml of water and then give the KetoCal formula. Rhonda Hi everyone, I have not been on this list long but am learning a lot from all of you, thanks. My son has been on the diet since March 9 and is doing quite well although I know he is suffering from reflux. I test his stomach acids with a ph stick and it is consistently between 1-1.5. He had this problem before starting the diet and is on Zantac and Prilosec, neither is working. Now he is making a chewing motion with his mouth as if something is coming up, but has not vomited. I would love to try the digestive enzymes but am wondering if I can because has a g/j tube. He gets all his feedings in his j tube, although he has a port going to his g, and one goes through his stomach right to his jejunum. Can the enzymes be used for kids who have a g/j tube? He is on KetoCal formula. Thanks, ' Mom to 5 years old; Lissencephaly, seizures, reflux, cp, keto kid since 3/9/04 " The Ketogenic Diet....a realistic treatment option, NOT just a last resort!
