I have a friend named Lupe who is on Amiodarone. He has no insurance

and the doctor is helping him with the medication. I am worried for

Lupe. What can I do?

Jimbo, suggest he ask the doc about the concerns raised here. Also

most pharmaceutical manufacturers have programs where they provide

free medication to people who can't afford it. Lupe may qualify for

one of those. If the doctor doesn't know about them, your friend can

check out www.RxforRI.org. That's a site where the info is gathered

together for RI residents, but I think it has pointers to info that

anyone can access. Or he can call the manufacturer and ask.
