Guest guest
I've been meaning to post that at Zoe's 2 year check up on Tues., the pediatrician was amazed at how her foot looked and felt. He also couldn't tell which was the clubfoot. He asked me lots of questions about this " non-surgical method " . I was able to reinforce how bad our first experience was with the pediatric orthopedist the pediatricians recommended (we're in a large group practice). Great to read about all the wonderful successes going on. To those of you going through the transition from casts to DBB, best wishes. It is definitely the most difficult part of this treatment. Zoe didn't need the tenotomy, so we didn't have to go through that... We're just counting the months until she's free of the brace, but that will mean she's closer to being grown up, so I hope it doesn't happen too quickly... Warm regards, Joanne W. mom to Zoe (3-25-01) right clubfoot Message: 8 Date: Fri, 28 Mar 2003 11:53:23 -0800 Subject: Re: Cast away! Congrats on the normal foot! In regards to the creases they do stay for quite some time until the child grows. My son still has them at 1. However after the last cast it looked the worse because it was all dried skin in the creases. As soon as that fell off it looked alot better. Nobody even notices my sons creases anymore. I took him to a new pedi yesterday for his 12 month check up and he couldn't even tell which one of my son's foot was clubbed at birth. _________________________________________________________________ Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
