Guest guest
Hi, I had my RAI done about 3 months ago and just 2 weeks ago my levels; although looking more toward to hypo range of TSH 4.81 and ft4 .77, today, 2 weeks later the TSH is 85.050 and the ft4 is .50. He is starting me on synthroid at 100 mcg. Is this a normal dosage? I thought he was going to start me out on a lower dosage, at least that is what I thought he said. My weight has been a serious issue and was at 81 pounds, I managed to gain up to around 98 almost 100 pounds but I am afraid that when I start taking it, that it will cause me to have to same feeling that I had when I was hyperthyoid. I am so afraid it will cause me to loose the weight I have gained. Can someone please give me input on this? I see him in 4 weeks and have to get blood tested a few days before I see him so he can see what the level is then. Will it make you feel really anxious? I am already a nervous person but I have to tell you that I have felt like " jet lag 10 time over " lately. Extremely fatigued. I start in the morning so he said to take it on an empty stomach and nothing to eat or other medications until after one hour. Thanks Vicky
