Guest guest
Sometimes on electrical stuff the O means off and the I means on. Sorry I cant be of more help! Tawnya Microlink CI >I took Jake's Microlink from school to our private audi to set for >him and he was messing with one of the switches that I do not know >what it is for (of course). It is on the bottom of the transmitter >box and has switch with a straight vertical line (l) at one side and >a O at the other. Does anyone with this device know where it is >supposed to be? He has it over to the O side and said he hears >better with it there than on the l side. >HELP! I have to take it back tomorrow and show his CST and teacher >how to set the thing up and hope he ahs not changed something that >doesn't need to be changed. I know what all the other switches do! >We did find that there is alot of static in our house when we tried >it out here. > > >And, how do your kids like the FM setup with it and the CI? He is >unsure as to whether is works well for him and says he can't hear but >it works correctly when tested and his processor works fine. I think >he doesn't realize it really is working because he is used to the >amplified soundfield system. > >Elaine > > > >All messages posted to this list are private and confidential. Sorry I > cant be of more help! > > Tawnya > >>>>>>>>>> Thanks! I think the I means on too and he is just messing with me! It does not have a light or anything to let you know if it is on. If it was his to keep at home I would get the little speakers to test it with, but this baby belongs to the school and I had to beg borrow and steal to get it out of the building and to the audi's..LOL Of course as much as it cost I can't say that I blame them. Ha, he just came down here worried about his FM not working right so we tried it again. This is funny because last year it was a constant battle for three months to get him to use it instead of the soundfield. He hated it and would turn it off and the teacher would not know it. Now he is driving me crazy to try it again. So now I know the L is on, O is off. I synchronized the channel again and he said he heard beeps in the processor and asked if I could hear them. Then he said it was working. I think part of the problem is there is some sort of issue in our downstairs that gives him static in several rooms. I am wondering if it is the large metal air handlers for air conditioner that is in the wall down here. What is weird is that he could hear me even though the audi said he would not be able to hear me with the mic off on his program that is 70% teacher and 30% environmental sounds.
