Hi F,

?How do you take your Armour?

All at once, spread out over the day, if so how often?

Do you take it sublingual or swallowed?

Same questions for the Isocort...?

" TPO Thyroid Microsomal Ab, SIgA positive

normal: negative

> (What does this mean?) "

....This test result means that your body has antibodies that are

going after what is left of your Thyroid, or what the body thinks is

the Thyroid gland. When they did the RAI, they may not of gotten all

of it...only killed off some or most of the Thyroid gland and now

your body is, with the antibodies, going after the rest....In

otherwards, it sounds like you might be experiencing Hashimoto's

Disease. IMHO... :(

" I have only one ovary. " ...One ovary is all we need to reproduce

and to produce the female and male hormones that we need to

survive...Like a lot of other parts of our bodies, we were given

duplicates in order for the species to survive and prosper.

" I d not take HRT. " ...If its not needed don't take it

" My libido is very low. " ...This will/may change as your Thyroid

hormones are brought up into the upper ranges of where YOU FEEL

GREAT. Tests are only a part of the diagnosis formula, the rest is

done by the bodies conditions which you need to bring to the Doctors

attention. And which he/she should listen to and act upon. Too many

Doctors rely soully upon tests, which can be deceiving...and very

inaccurate. This is also effected by age...we all grow out of the

teenage years of being " in-heat " into the middle years of the

pleasure and then into the latter years of pleasure wanted but not

necessary to life and eventually...it's no longer a part of the

needs of the body and/or mind.

" Difficulty losing weight. " ...This may change as you begin to feel

better...as your body gets better levels of Thryoid hormones in

there. However, if you do have Hashimotos, you will find that the

body hangs onto the excess fat for its very life...

" Thinning around edges of hair. " ...Again, this is an indication

that your body isn't getting enough Thyroid hormones as well as

other things. perhaps like Folic Acid(which is found in a B-complex

supplement), essential oils in the diet(Omega 3's and 6's), enough

protein in the daily diet. etc.

Are you not already on a split dosage, at 30 mgs Xs 3 times a day??? I've had something that I would compare to electrical shocks around my thyroid area. What I'm really thinking is that maybe a nodule ruptured? That's a hideous thought huh? But I've learned not to horrify over my thyroid goings on so much, lol. Anyway, this is the feeling that I would compare to the pop rocks feeling.

Re: Re: My Canaryclub Saliva Test Results

here's a question, for those that are hypo:

do you ever get this pop rocks feeling in your neck?? it kind of feels like you're swallowing pop rocks... just curious. i don't get it so much anymore, but i used to when i was trying to reach my ideal dosage.

also, i feel really good with the 30mg 3x daily i have now... i'll start adrenal supplementing soon, should i just leave the dosage the way it is or should i split my pills for better absorption??

have you had your testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone levels checked, can't remember here? Surely when the doc checked your cortisol, could he have checked these also, or did he just check the cortisol. Oh yes, forgot about the DHEA, sometimes that's the one.

Re: Re: My Canaryclub Saliva Test Results

Hi Gossimer, and thanks for responding.

I take my armour spread our through the day. I take 1 1/2 grains of armours along with 4 pellets of Isoscort at 6:30a.m. My next dose, 1 grain plus 4 Isocort is taken at 12 noon. My last dose, 1 grain around 5p.m. I take them sublingual. I tried my doses another eays, but my pressure kept dropping and pulses were eleated to high. This way, so far as seemed to be the best for right now.

TPO - yes, I was surprised that I have Hashimoto's. If this is true, how do I treat myself? After two RAI's, I never thought that anything was left. I remember saying to a few of the endo's I have seen over the years that I felt something fluttering in my throat and also I always feel this lump when I swallow but all of them said that nothing was there. I also had this weird assumption, also after reading in a book somewhere, that parts of the body regenerate themselves and thought that my thyroid may have done that.

My libido - nicely stated, but eventhough I am 54, I am newly wed only three years, I really would like this corrected. I just need to find out how. I also have had some contact with a alternative medicine doctor (he follows the Broda method of care also) who I hope can help me here.

Weight - I am so looking forward to a change is this area also. Why does Hashimotos effect this area so much? Does it actually stop weight loss?

Hair - I am doing my best to put the proper vitamins and foods in body along with obtaining the proper level of armour.

Thank you so much for your explanations.

you know.... I never thought of that (nodule popping)... and yes I'm on gen. armour 3x daily.

I couldn't find an alcohol based thermometer anywhere this evening so I ended up getting one of the sensory ones with crystals in it, like what you use on fish tanks. I'm going to start checking my basal temp... but I think I'll return it and buy a digital or something.

Pardon me for my memory *snicker*.... (like that's even a problem here) but what is everyone taking for adrenal replacement lately and can you please let me know if it is natural/synthetic and how it works for you.

I'm going to take adrenal supplements starting after my blood work and I'm a little leery of the as seen on tv vitamin store brands.

Any ideas??

oh and J., I appreciate your comment. All my info comes from trial and error as well as research, with a bit of other people thrown in lol.

, let me correct this. I was normal on all except, estrogen. That was high. I didn't get a reading on DHEA because I did not send enough saliva to be sampled. wrote: Were you even a low normal on any of them?
