Guest guest
Hi Trish. I'm Anne and I also live in RI. Regarding your chocolate fix: On page 32 (or 34)of the THYCA LID Cookbook there is a recipe for chewy oatmeal cookies. My husband made the batter for me and I baked half the batch as directed. I usually take a few to eat at work for breakfast. HOWEVER, with the other half of the batch I added Hershey cocoa (plain cocoa -- nothing else listed in the ingredients) to the batter and also added some chopped unsalted walnuts. Voila! Chocolate oatmeal cookies! The batch makes quite a few cookies so I put them in baggies and put them in the fridge and freezer. My TSH may be high but I'm pretty sure my cholesterol level is going down due to all the oatmeal! Good luck. Anne in RI > I am due to start my LID in 2 weeks and don't have a clue what I can > eat. I don't understand this Salt vs. Sodium thing. My Dr said to > eat things that are low in salt but every label I read says that it > contains salt. How do you know how much it contains or whether it is > idiozed or not??? I love salads but don't all salad dressings > contain salt??? How about bread and margarine - are there any that > don't contain salt???
