Guest guest
but not others? I am pretty sure my insurance..BCBS of TX won't pay for nay. When I took my DS in for an evaluation at Cranial Tech they told me then that my insurance wouldn't cover any of it. I followed up by calling the insurance co as well and she said anything to do with Plagio they won't cover. Just thought I would ask if there is a chance that maybe some of you have gotten the band by going to a different kind? Kim
Guest guest
My insurance would only pay for a passive band from a certain facility. I wanted active bands as my twins were almost 8 months at the time. The specialist also wouldn't refer Logan (who's head was actually worse). My ped wrote a script for him (and for both for the second bands) that I could take to CT. We paid out of pocket. Guest guest
Some insurances have starting adding plagio treatment exclusions, it sounds like that in your case. Have you read your contract to see the exclusions? Natasha > but not others? I am pretty sure my insurance..BCBS of TX won't pay > for nay. Guest guest
Kim, There is hope,I was told that hardly any insurance companies pay, but mine did. I have Blue Cross Blue Sheild Georgia, and they paid 90%, of their allowable charge of $2400.00. I just checked their website today to see if the claim had been processed yet, and it was done. I cant eblieve it, I am so excited becasue to me this says that ththe insuracne companies DO see this as a problem. I would try your hardest and fight to the end. I was ready to fight and had lots of articles and literature. Does your son have tort, if so make sure you have your ped write a letter sating that, I think that helped us Good Luck and DONT give up !!!!
