snip>What does FNA mean?

Fine needle aspiration - biopsy.

snip>As for them not reporting it... Its not up to the tech, it is up to

the doctor who reviews the pictures. The Doc/radiologist is the one that

writes the report. Given the state of under diagnosis and bad treatment for

thyroid disorders.. I would say they routinely ignore them when looking for

other stuff.

He just meant " they " as in their collective profession. Yes, especially if

it's asymptomatic.

snip>The thing about pregnancy causing auto immune disorders is very

interesting... I guess I get to blame my son for my Hashimoto's... I wonder

though, if miscarriages count????? Cause I am pretty sure I had one before

being pregnant with Son.

What comes first, the chicken or the egg? Thyroid disorder can cause

miscarriage.

snip>Then there is something I just read about breast feeding and diabetes,

those that do breastfeed don't get diabetes, which I bet is only one

possible autoimmune response averted by completely the pregnancy cycle. I

never breast fed... it wasn't " the " thing to do what with all this wonderful

soy formulas.....

Really? I breastfed three kids for a year each - it's supposed to protect

you from breast cancer as well as some uterine cancers - who knows? I *do*

know that I have not had a recurrence of endometriosis since my first

pregnancy in '97. I assume this is a combination of being

pregnant/breastfeeding '96 to '02 as well as the herbal medication I took at

the time.

Donna in Oz.
