Its not up to the tech, it is up to the doctor who reviews the pictures. The Doc/radiologist is the one that writes the report. Given the state of under diagnosis and bad treatment for thyroid disorders.. I would say they routinely ignore them when looking for other stuff. He just meant " they " as in their collective profession. Yes, especially if it's asymptomatic. snip>The thing about pregnancy causing auto immune disorders is very interesting... I guess I get to blame my son for my Hashimoto's... I wonder though, if miscarriages count????? Cause I am pretty sure I had one before being pregnant with Son. What comes first, the chicken or the egg? Thyroid disorder can cause miscarriage. snip>Then there is something I just read about breast feeding and diabetes, those that do breastfeed don't get diabetes, which I bet is only one possible autoimmune response averted by completely the pregnancy cycle. I never breast fed... it wasn't " the " thing to do what with all this wonderful soy formulas..... Really? I breastfed three kids for a year each - it's supposed to protect you from breast cancer as well as some uterine cancers - who knows? I *do* know that I have not had a recurrence of endometriosis since my first pregnancy in '97. I assume this is a combination of being pregnant/breastfeeding '96 to '02 as well as the herbal medication I took at the time. Donna in Oz.
