Guest guest
, I have Papillary thyca and also osteoporosis. My Endo has me on 1500mg. of calcium + Vit. D a day. I purchased the OsCal 500+D. Taken three times a day, this will give me the calcium and vitamin D I need a day. Meds routine: Synthroid upon arising - taken on an empty stomach. Then wait one hour before eating breakfast. Mid-morning - multi-vitamin, Premarin, and two blood pressure meds. Lunch: ONE tablet of calcium+D. This should be approx. SIX hours after I have taken my Synthroid. Supper: ONE tablet of calcium+D. Mid-evening or so: ONE tablet of calcium+D. All of the above sounds like a pain in the you-know-what and it is. BUT - these are all done with the knowledge that I should be getting the full benefit of each of the drugs I am taking by spacing them out this way. (I think!!) It is worth the effort to know that each med is being given the time needed to do what they are supposed to do and not jeopordize their effects. To keep track of if and when I've taken any given med, I use one of the 7-day pill boxes and have developed a routine that is easy for me.
