I am also having extremely long and heavy periods. Well, I guess it is just one

long one lol. I will have it for 7-8 days, stop for a couple then it starts up

again heavier then ever. I called my gyno and she said it is caused from being

hypo, but not to worry about it, even though I am normally anemic!???

Anne,

Since you're hypo & now taking iron be especially careful of getting

constipated. I took a stool softener & Benefiber each day for the several days

leading up to my RAI. That's not the time you want to be " plugged up " ! I'll

defer to the authorities on the uptake question.
