We have that here at our house. Usually I notice it growing in the stagnant water that sometimes stays on the back of our shower on the soap rest... I don't think it's harmful but I know ours is caused by us not cleaning the shower enough :). Ours is kind of a rust color but whipes off very easily with a towel.

Re: excessive hairloss

Hi ,?You get a pink ring around the bathtub????? I'm sitting here scratching my head....what on earth would cause a pink ring?????????For my own peace of mind I would get a water sample tested ASAP...And the fact that your scalp problems started about the time that you moved there..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ???????What is in that water??????? This is really scarey!!!! MY ALARMS ARE SOUNDING OFF BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!Second, be sure that you get rid of as much sugar as you can from your food intake...and replace it with something of protein. I am an advocate of a high protein diet with veggies and fruits...nothing processed like white flour or chemicals like Splenda or Equal or Sacrine(sp?) or white sugar...And be sure to get your Vitamins and Essential oils and Vit C, E, and B-Complex....all these are needed by our bodies as we battle the imbalance of the Thryoid hormones. For some of us, once we are away from the filler that we are allergic to, it may take upwards of 12+ weeks for our bodies to totally flush the filler chemical out of our systems. Then a few more weeks for the repairs to begin to show through. ie new, healthy skin and baby hair sprouting up in places where it had been lost.????You aren't drinking this water....?are you??????????Please tell my you filter the water through at least a charcoal filter before you drink or cook with it...???????????Gossimer> >I was placed on Synthroid because I had all the symptoms of > hypothyroid (moon face, hair loss, lethargic, cold hand etc.) even > though my TSH was like 1.5 or something.
