Guest guest
Hi, We will be getting our son's band on May 25th. Do you recommend painting the band or using stickers. I am not very crafty but I can find someone to paint if that is the best thing. If you recommend stickers where did you get them? Is there a certain kind to get? Did you use clear nail polish to keep them on? Thanks
Guest guest
We had a friend do a great job with colored sharpies on Kaylee's helmet. But we couldn't get anything to hold it on. It kept rubbing off. I was bummed out cause it was awesome how my friend did it. We have pictures posted in the photos folder " Our Plagio Kids " subfolder " Kaylee " . We also tried stickers. You can use any kind, but I'm sure you'd want to seal them with something because they peal too. There is an area about decorating on the supprt page. And I believe a lot of people have used paint but I'm not sure how they get it to stay on. Kaylee has a Hanger helmet so it might be a different material than the other bands, harder to keep stuff on. Guest guest
Hi... I use Scrapbook stickers (I got them at Hobby Lobby or any craft store). I'm not very artist, and I was afraid I'd get sick of the same thing all the time. We got a ton of stickers..and my husband and I take turns decorating...we redo it every week. This week is my husbands turn..it is all football. Anyway, the scrapbook stickers are easy to remove.. I've soon a ton of cute paint jobs too, so whatever you prefer. Guest guest
I just did Lexi's doc band. We used stickers and clear nail polish. I used stickers with clear backing, not white so its easier to clean up when the stickers get changed. (they will peel off eventually) You can find her helmet under is Aparicio. > Hi, We will be getting our son's band on May 25th. Do you recommend > painting the band or using stickers. Guest guest
Hello, There is a folder in the files section about decorating the bands. Also remember if you or someone else paints the band, be sure no paint comes in contact with the inside of the band, it will ruin it and you will have to pay for a new one, follow the tips for painting. We used rub on transfers from the craft store( I am not crafty either), and many people use the scrapbook stickers, we use Mod Podge to seal them because if or when you want to change you can just peel it off. We used two coats and the transfers lasted the entire life of my Dominick's first band(about 8 weeks). Look through the photos section and that will help you decide how you want to go. Guest guest
In the files section we have a folder on decorating. It has all kinds of tips. For stickers - clear backed scrapbooking stickers work best. A clear coat of mod podge helps keep them on. I did both painting and stickers. I found that painting takes longer, is ruined easier and it hurts your feelings when it does chip! So I switched to stickers and did a new theme each week. mom to na DOC Grad South Carolina Tort Resolved www.thefilyaws.comygoldschmidt <ygoldschmidt@...> wrote: Hi, We will be getting our son's band on May 25th.
