My post AF events I remember well. They had such a different feel to them. Very shallow and fluttery. They lasted from a few minutes to an hour or so. The post AF events went on for 90 days for me, then it faded away. They didn't happen everyday. Maybe two or three times per week. But for very short periods of time. Sometimes less than a minute. I was having AF events everyday pre PVA, sometimes twice a day. This evolved over time. From twice a year, to once a month to twice a month to every ten days to everyday. This covers a time span of ten years +/- mind you. The only medicines I took were atenolol 50 mg and asprin 325 mg. Nothing else. Give your heart a chance to heal. Relaxe, your over the hump. If you ever needed another PVA, your ready. You can ask more questions of your Doctor, with a certain degree of confidence having been there. Remember, it has been zapped to destroy the bad tissue, so it is not a happy critter right now. As a ridiculous comparison, I had a lot of dental work a week or so ago, and I am snarfing down Advil becaue it still really hurts. The body needs a chance to heal. Worst case, you may be among the folks who need a second ablation, because the docs are conservative in the first one, but the success rate is still very high. There is a lot of info about afib on the web site of the afib foundation, at www.affacts.org
