Guest guest
Sue, I love your list of all the things that are going positively for you (movie theater seats, etc.) -- that spur you on your journey. One thing that has happened for me quite often -- and I hope for you too -- is discovering a new joy in mySELF, when I make good choices I used to not make. For example, almost every Friday, after weigh in, I think about going home and fixing a nice, satisfying breakfast or lunch that I haven't allowed myself all week. I imagine even stopping on the way for a donut or two.... or just having a nice large dish of macaroni and cheese without counting the points!! But instead I go home and weigh the cheese and cut some veggies and make a low-point omelet with 2-for-1-point toast and Butter Pam and suddenly I realize Wow!! I've actually chosen the better way . . . I've faced all sorts of yummy options and decided to stay on program and eat something differently yummy, and even more satisfying because I don't have to make up for it or feel guilty about it! It's an NSV of a different sort! It's little victories like these that bring me joy. The theater seat doesn't yet have room on either side of me!!!
