Guest guest Posted March 16, 2003 Report Share Posted March 16, 2003 Hi, We are proud parents of , born 24th Jan 2003, bilateral club feet, and have just discovered the Ponseti method via the internet. We are emailing Dr Ponseti for further information, but in the meantime, does anyone on the list know of a doctor trained in the Ponseti method who practises in South Africa? has been having weekly casts since 6 days old in preparation for a probable operation at 3 months. His orthopaedic surgeon is very well recommended and experienced in club feet, but we have been reluctant to go the surgical route from the start. Obviously it is more difficult to try and get to Iowa as soon as possible for the duration of the treatment because we live so far away, so if there is a trained doctor closer to us it would help.
