Anyone Used GTA by Biotics Research?

Someone on my 's forum mentioned a product I'd never heard about. It's

called GTA by Biotics Research. Interestingly, the manufacturing facility is in

Texas, just miles from my home. It's one of those companies that has dozens of

products and only 'sells to health professionals' but you can buy the products

from several sources online. You can't get much info from the actual

bioticsresearch.com but the supplement sales sites have some info.

Apparently, the product is Porcine Thyroid, but it takes out the THYROXINE (T4),

which to my knowledge would be the only product I've heard of that would be a

'natural' T3. The gal on the 's site said her body doesn't react well to

synthetic T3, but she tolerates GTA very well. But, since T3 is sold in mcg. and

this product is in mg. I imagine it would take trial and error. The pills run

around $21.00 for 90 on some sites.

ANYONE USED THIS OR KNOW ABOUT IT OR HAVE AN OPINION??????

This is some info I got from one of the sales web sites...

" GTA contains five milligrams of thyroid glandular material, processed to remove

thyroxine.

Usage of Biotics Research GTA:

GTA should be considered where specific glandular support is required to thyroid

hypofunction and used at two to six per day. GTA will not replace Thyrostim as

the primary thyroid supplement source. This is because thyroid hypofunction

requires the nutrients in Thyrostim to support the thyroid and anterior

pituitary function and hormonal production. Far more thyroid hypofunction is due

to anterior pituitary hypofunction and adrenal dysfunction than to primary

thyroid hypofunction. However, in those cases where the problem is primary

thyroid hypofunction, GTA will be the choice here. 1 to 3 capsules each day as a

dietary supplement or as otherwise directed by a health care professional. "
