Guest guest
Ages ago, when I found this program for Aubrie, I promised to let you guys know how it went. Well, it seems to have been a good thing. This is a link to an article that explains the whole premise of the software. This is what caught my attention. http://www.thelearningstudio.com/articleCSUN.html Aubrie has been doing email at home for a few weeks now. I can see that she knows the correct finger positions and attempts to use them. She's by no means perfect, but she's getting there. I think to have said she can't do it and so why bother instructing her yet would have been a big mistake. She is making good attempts and approximations towards correct typing - just as we make approximations as we learn any new skill. I have seen her skills grow just over the past few weeks. The aide is seeing this is school too. So, from our experience so far, I would say this has been a good program for teaching keyboarding. Now, keep in mind, I'm not the one at school actually using it with her. The aide has made positive comments about the program tho - and she is the one using it daily.
