Guest guest
Hey Sara, I'm glad you're being proactive in trying to get Sophia a new helmet. I looked at her pics too and agree that she'll probably need to be recasted/scanned. Her band is very high, rotated to the right, and looks like it's digging into her left cheek. Unfortunately cutting too much, like in the height, can't be fixed once it's gone! Anyway you can get in before Wednesday? It's a shame to be wasting time b/c of it. Have you thought of posting about your location and see where others have gone and what their experiences have been. SHe is a cutie and wow, 20lbs! Hannah was about 17 lbs about then and stayed at around that for almost a year. She was a big chubba baby, then slowed right down when she started moving around, lol. We have chat in a few if you're still online. , mom to Hannah, DOCgrad Cape Cod, Ma http://hannahsnoggin.typepad.com > > > > > > > > > > I figured out how to post some pictures of Sofia in her > > > > STARband. They > > > > > are in the Photos. Guest guest
, I tried to get in before Wed. But the new Ortho is only in 2 days a week. Just talking to her was night and day compared to the other guy, so I have a really good feeling. Every time we put the helmet on she gets upset after only about a half hour. She gets dug in the cheek and it wobbles too. I can't believe how much time we have wasted already, it's making me crazy. We went to the Neurosurgeon in Dec, after it took almost 2 months to get the appt (we thought we were dealing with craniosynostosis) I called the day after the appt. to get the appt. for casting. It took another month, then the 3 weeks for waiting for the helmet to come in...It's been crazy - now she won't even wear it! Wow, Hannah stayed that size for almost a year!? That's so funny how they level off after they start moving around! I have 2 other daughters too - 10 and Carolyn 5 and each one is a TOTAlly new experience! Guest guest
3 weeks for the band to come in is a major NO NO! No more than 2 weeks should lapse between casting and fitting. I hate to say it but you're going to have to be recasted for a new band. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I figured out how to post some pictures of Sofia in her > > > > > > STARband. They > > > > > > > are in the Photos. Guest guest
Oh Great! How fun is the casting - she will just LOVE that! Well, at least if they have to it will be right then! I thought it was an awfully long time - especially since she grew that much in that time!
