Look in the photos section in the Our Plagio kids at Jenna's photos that is the way a STARband should fit. Not only is it crooked but it should come down lower on her forehead. You should call your ortho today. I'm so sorry that you are having these troubles. Feel free to print off pictures of my daughter Jenna's band to show the ortho. Where are you located? Maybe someone in the group has used the same ortho or facility. I'm sorry to say this too but your orthotist had it cut too high on her forehead and you cannot fix that. I don't know if it is causing her discomfort, but it is not helping in keeping a holding point and it sitting on her head nice and snug. You can take a look at my son's STARband too, to see how it was cut. Colin had a good-fitting STARband. Look at his sideburn areas too, they were nice and even and sit right near his cheeks. Guest guest Posted February 19, 2005 Report Share Posted February 19, 2005 Sandy, I spoke with a different branch of and Fillipis today, I explained how unhappy I was with the Ortho that I had been to, and how 3 different adjustments had done NOTHING to help her, and how my support group of Plagio Moms told me that it should Not be this hard to get Sofia used to the STARband. They told me they will do whatever we need to do to make me happy, so I guess the new Ortho will be telling us on Wed. if she needs to be recasted - I'm sure it will come down to that. The redspot on her cheek gets worse with the band, she has a dry spot kind of like eczema (it won't go away!) Thanks for the compliment! I think she's a cutie myself! LOL She is a BIG girl though...20 pounds at just now 6 months!
