Guest guest
Angel, I was worried about Isabella's right foot because it didn't look right. Like the others pics on the board. She keeps her right foot turned in most of the time, but when it is relaxed it will lay normally overcorrected. Her right foot also is more fatty on the bottom then her left foot. They were both clubbed. On both feet where the tentonomy was done her skin is creased and wrinkled. I don't think every persons feet will be the same to the other. When i sent Dr.P pictures and talked to him on the phone he said that Isabella's feet are fine, she just holds that one bent and may be comfortable doing it. If you are really worried about it. Send Dr.P an email and possibly some pics and see what his recommendation would be. As for the bar. Measure the bar from Screw to screw i think that is how its suppose to be and then measure Kais shoulders and see if it matches if not then take it back to the Dr. Since it isn't an adjustable one. I would ask them if you can get an adjustable one. We have an adjustable one and i like them much better. Take care (Isabella 10-12-02 bilateral cf) > I really want to trust Dr Mosca, and I know he followed the method to > a T ... but Kai's foot just doesnt seem right to me. Guest guest
Ok ... I measured and the bar is 8 " and his shoulders are 6.5 - 7 " . Will 1 - 1 1/2 inches make a big difference? Will it cause discomfort? Dr Mosca is coming to Yakima in a couple weeks and if it is an issue, I could see if he could bring a different bar with him. Guest guest
Angel, The width of the bar should be measured as follows per Dr. Ponseti: The inside edges of the heels of the shoes should be the same width as the shoulders of the baby. It sounds like Kai's bar is too long, and it might be uncomfortable. Perhaps you could have Dr. Mosca order you the adjustable bar and bring it when he comes to Yakima (or have it mailed to you directly). I don't know what to tell you about the shape of Kai's foot. If you would like reassurance on that, I would suggest sending pictures of his feet via snail mail or email to Dr. Ponseti. Do you have any friends who have a digital camera you could use? Good luck- hope this helps. > I really want to trust Dr Mosca, and I know he followed the method to > a T ... but Kai's foot just doesnt seem right to me.
