Guest guest
I would suggest as first step to check your PT or INR. May be the numbers are too high and this causes the bleedings. Let me know the check result, if you don't mind. Regards, Ervin Gums disease and coumadin I have had gum disease for many years, but could generally control the condition with regular cleanings. Now that I'm on coumadin, my gum bleeding has drastically increased, often spontaneously (with no brushing or flossing).I have not had a cleaning in months and my neurologist insists if I do go not to go off coumadin for the visit as some suggest. I bleed copiously when undergoing treatment. Guest guest
My doctor believes my blood levels are just right and is reluctant to mess with them for one day. Incidentally, I have had a CVA, thus the special concern. I believe he would say, " better to let your gums bleed than to face the alternative. Guest guest
In the past I have had some bleeding problems with my gums. Since using a Sonicare tooth brush I no longer have that problem. My dentist recommends that you use a compleat cycle for the upper teeth and then again for the lower teeth. A little time consuming ,4min., but worth it! Phyllis Mathy Almost three years Afib free on Flecinide 50 mg. twice a day.
