Guest guest
Hi. I had my first RAI treatment in September. Here in New Jersey, they do not keep you in the hospital. I too was sent home after taking 120 Mci. I have three children (9,8 almost 2). My husband took the kids to a hotel for a few days. I am preparing for my next scan sometime in April. This time, my husband will just take the baby away for a few days and my parents will come to my house and take care of the big ones. They will keep the kids separate from me and I'll just stay upstairs. I wish they did isolation in the hospital. Even though that may be depressing, it is still logistically easier than doing it at home! The above arrangements will only be necessary if I need another treatment. I hope it's not necessary but it's good to be prepared. Good luck! n
