If it shows up in the RAI scan, yes, it means it has taken up the RAI. It may

not be killing off thyroid cells totally, in the sense that it may not be a high

enough dose, or perhaps the RAI is competing

with nutritional iodine, but yes, you've got the right idea.

OTOH, if it shows up on an RAI scan, it means it's not iodine resistant.

I can't answer this one, except to say that if you're having unusual and

unexplained pains, I would agree that a visit to the doctor is a good idea.
