Guest guest
Carmen I can't answer your question because I have never been able to find a reference to human molasses having high iodine. Molasses is often used as an animal feed, and a couple of preparations that I found a while back were intended for dairy cattle, they were mainly molasses with iodine and other stuff added. Someone, somewhere, must have found a reference that sulfured molasses is high in iodine, but I can't find it and it's certainly not in mainstream literature. The other side of the coin is to ask how much molasses is in the products that you've looked at. If it's not a main ingredient and you're not eating tons of the stuff then it is almost certainly not a problem. Ian > Ian, > If sulfur is not an issue, and therefore banning just molasses > that has been sulfured seems idiotic, is it then okay to eat? > > I ask because I have found several items at the health food store > that list molasses as an ingredient and I've skipped them > because I didn't know if it was sulfured or not. > Thanks for your help, > --Carmen <----about to go on the LID Ian Adam Radiation Safety Officer The Institute of Cancer Research Cotswold Road Sutton Surrey SM2 5NG Tel: 020 8722 4250 Mobile: 07791 702 230 Fax: 020 8722 4300 EMail: iana@...
