Guest guest
I just read from a couple of people that they were using xeloda and avastin. My mom was diagnosed, age 69, with stage IV colon cancer, tumor removed and bowel resected, but left a lot of mets to peritoneum, and abdominal organs. She has completed two rounds of xeloda over the last 6 weeks, and will be given avastin once every 2-3 weeks. Her oncologist wanted to wait until she was further away from surgery, since avastin can have some risk of bowel perforation...the doctor says that all of his patients have tolerated it very well, and he sees it as benign. has anyone else dealt with this? thanks, Jackie
