Guest guest
Dear Afibbers: info questions. While in NSR now for about four months (following two ablations at Cleveland,) my cardiologist says he is temporarily going to keep me on cumadin. Recently my cumadin levels have not been where they should be -- and the daily dosage was increased from 5 mg to 6. I can't quote remember when, but in addition to a normal daily vitamin (for those over 50 -- cough, cough,) I added another 1,000 mgs of vitamin C. When I mentioned that I taking additional 1,000 C -- I was told that vitamin C could act against the blood thining of cumadin. I've cut out the additional 1,000 but see that my " normal " vitamin pill contains 500 mg of vitamin C. What I'm asking is -- has anyone else experienced this with Vitamin C and if so, are there daily vitamin pills without vitamin C. (I go back in two weeks for another blood check.) Thanks for any tips Lew
