Guest guest
Hello everyone, We arrived home safely on Sunday afternoon. The journey was even harder than the one to Iowa, but the main thing is that we are now home. Veeti has been fine after the tenotomy, and seems to be ok with the cast too, although the foot is extemely rotated. Now we are just counting the days and looking forward to the Friday in two and a half weeks when Veeti fianlly gets to take a bath. I'm sure I'll have dozens of questions again when Veeti will start using the brace. Thanks to all of you who gave us good advice about removing the cast at home, we will definitely do it at home. It is now 5.30 a.m. in Finland, and I just don't tired at all. Thank goodness my husband has one more day off from work so he will wake up with Veeti (who has no trouble at all in adjusting to the time difference!!?) in a few hours. Guest guest
Hello Sanna! I'm glad to hear you made it home safe and sound. That last cast ( " extremely rotated " ) looks pretty strange, doesn't it? I remember when Gavin had his last cast on... My parents were VERY concerned when they saw it; they thought his foot was headed back in the " wrong direction " again! Oh well -- those two weeks will just fly by! I imagine that it is going to be pretty exciting for you (and especially your husband) to see Veeti's foot when that last cast comes off! Good night -- or perhaps " good morning " to you!
