Guest guest
was only lethargic etc during his diet initiation, after that he was more alert than we had seen him for ages. Until - his meds started biting about 2 weeks later - with the increased stable state of ketosis, came increased meds strength and consequent drowsiness etc, soon after that came breakthrough toxicity induced seizures. If any of his meds like the benzos peaked while his ketones were large, it used to totally knock him out. May not be the case there, but just a warning that this could be the problem, ----- Original Message ----- > Did anyone notice an increase in overall drowsiness on the diet - from perhaps combination of diet and meds? Mia is on klonopin and vigabatrin and I definitely notice an increase in drowsiness and overall dullness in the afternoon, even after a nap and a meal, perhaps from the afternoon dose of klonipin (while her ketones are large then - you think she would be acting better?). > > thanks for your input > > donna, mom to mia - 2 years old, on diet since 4/

Guest guest
Matt is still on sodium valproate(epilim/depokate depending on which country you are in ) but at a much lower dose. Xs ketosis at the beginning and I guess all the changes his body was going thr' caused the sleepiness. I have noticed as the medication lessens he has a bit more energy so yes I think medication is a factor, Hope this helps, Nicola
