It seems like you did excellent at the party. I hope I am not

speaking too soon!!LOL You did get the cake out of the house

right??? That is my absolute fave!! I love cake. I swear I could

eat a whole one myself in one sitting. I have no end to my sweet

tooth.

Oh yeah about the toxic friend..its sad that a friendship kind of

ended but better if she really was a toxic spot in your life.

I hope you continue to do great!!

,

The cake is not all gone, but it really tasted overly sweet to me,

so I don't even want any more! I seriously thought it was going to

make me sick, the frosting was so overpowering. I think I won the

battle for the most part yesterday, but boy are my insides telling

me today how much I screwed up yesterday! Thanks for replying!

Sharon,

We had my son's birthday party this weekend too! It was a huge success,

although somewhat stressful! I know what you mean about the cake! My mother

made this absolutely amazing cake with a special white-chocolate icing... it

is actually made with melted white-chocolate, whipping cream, butter, and

powdered sugar, and it is SO fluffy and yummy! She left it at my house

because she has no air conditioning in her car, and the icing is so light,

that it would melt. Well, Sunday evening when I dropped my son off for her

to babysit, I took the rest of the cake to her house in my air conditioned

car! LOL

Glad to hear you rid yourself of a toxic " friend " . I have been there before.

I think it has been almost 5 years since I finally told my best friend that

I couldn't handle having her in my life anymore, no matter how much I loved

her. My life has been much better since.

Jette,

Thanks so much for your reply, it helps a lot to know that someone

else has walked this path, especially with the friend thing. To be

honest, I don't think we had really been close in at least a year,

maybe longer, and I was just not severing the tie because I was not

sure how. Its a shame that it took me getting that fed up to get to

the point that I was not going to put up with any more, but at least

I made the step. The cake is finally all gone here, so I don't have

it as a constant distraction every time I walk into the kitchen!

Sounds like everything went well for you over the weekend, what is

the latest with the vehicle sitouation? I have wondered/worried

about you with that the last few days! Take care!
