" Going hypo " is an expression we use for the period of time we are off meds (T4 - Synthroid, etc.), becoming increasingly hypothyroid. Usually we are aiming to get our TSH over 30, in preparation for an RAI scan and/or treatment. You may also come across the phrase " hypo hell " , describing the place (rather than the journey), but remember that for most of us that's an exaggeration. - (not a doctor, not a lexicographer) NYC
