Guest guest
I don't really do resolutions. My motto is "Survival is Victory" and that seems to pretty much sum things up year to year. I have a list of some things that I would like to target this year: make progress with my newly discovered thyroid issue via finding a suitable medical professional and the right meds, make progress on my weight loss so that I don't have to buy a new wardrobe, make healthy choices, and that sort of thing. But, I am pretty much a realist having lived with chronic pain and limitations for 20+ years now and I just take things as they come. The one goal that I truly have each year and succeed with is to continue to add to my knowledge about my body and health issues. There is strength in knowledge and I tend to be most proactive in my health care. I am also an optimistic person so I approach life with an attitude of finding a way through the challenge. I have a lot of persistence and perseverance when it comes to things that I wish to achieve. I suppose one specific goal that I do have for 2006 is to finish painting the interior of my house. This is a project that should have taken a month maximum and it will end up taking me at least a year to accomplish. BUT, I am doing it and there is a great sense of self satisfaction in taking on such a huge job and succeeding.
