Guest guest
>Ellen, My name is Kunin. Welcome, and I am sorry you have to be a member of this group. There are many useful file on the files section. It will describe many of these prcocedures. I believe the " diagnostic " procedures are when they are just looking. This is oftern done awake, the " surgical " ones are always while you are sleeping! As for the excercise, consider yourself lucky. You probably lost weight from stress. I however can not do regular excercise because it hurts too much. (Obviously I still have problems!) You may see my story on the story section. If you would not mind, please post yours. Do you live in NY? I live outside of New York in Stamfor, CT. We moved here from NY. I will be seeing an A list, Dr. Copperman on Wednesday, and will post the outcome and any info that I can! Feel free to ask as many questions as you would like. Your store sounds unfortunately similar to many in the group! Take care, Kunin susankunin@... Guest guest
In response to your question about Dr March. I have heard nothing but great compliments about him and his staff. He is described as one of the most knowledgable surgeons for Ashermans and I think you are in great hands. I live in south Georgia and am scheduled to have surgery with Dr Palter in NY in August. If you wanted a second opinion locally, you could call and get an appt with him, he is on the A-list for his contact info. Your story is very similar to my own. Sounds as if your OB doesn't know exactly what to do with you. SHe is either nervous because of what happened or very uncaring not to have come to the hospital once you called her and told her you called 911. (she wasn't sure where to park her car, ever heard of a parking lot Dr?) You can file a complaint with the state borad of medical examiners, which you can find on your state board of health on the web. Medical malpractice is a whole different story, but since you had surgery immediately after birth and she never discussed this with you, I would definitely get your records from her so you can attempt to start figuring out what happened in there that day. If you had retained placenta even after she went in and performed a d & C immediately after birth, this seems very suspicious to me. I have read somewhere that it depends on the size of the remaining tissue on whether it is grounds for a lawsuit, meaning if it was large enough that she should have been able to recognize it and remove it. Ask away and good luck with your treatment. You have started on a long journey, but you have found a great source of information with this group.
