Guest guest
You shouldn't have to " just live with the twitches " . Your symptome definitely seem calcium related to me. I'm sorry that you went through a neuro exam when your endo should have caught this. I wrote a post earlier that didn't appear. Hope this isn't a duplicate. :-) Ask for a PTH (parathyroid hormone) level, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium levels. Get and keep the copies of your tests, same as for thyca. Low magnesium has the same sx as low calcium, but it doesn't often get checked. Best wishes, <snip> > I've also had muscle twitches in my arms, legs and face. It started after my surgery and it has gotten much less in recent months but I still get it, especially in my face/chin area. It was so disturbing several months back that I went to a neurologist. Had a complete workup. He found nothing. My endocrinologist also said it wasn't related to calcium levels. My internist took electrolyte levels- those were normal. So I'm just living with the twitches. Like I said, the twitches are decreasing so I'm not as worried about as I was before.
