Guest guest
Hi I have a similar story. I have two cats. One was disagnosed hyperthyroid about 2 years before my thyroid cancer. The other was diagnosed hyperthyroid a year after my diagnosis. They both got radioactive iodine treatment. I noticed that they gave my cat about 7 mCi, kept him a week and required that I collect his litter for two weeks, and hold for a month before disposing. I wonder how that would equate for human treatment? Betty mailto:bettyy@... TT: 7/00 RAI: 9/00 (150 mCi) 1st Scan: 10/01 - Uncertain 2nd Scan: 8/02 - Clean! ------- Lastly, A very good friend of mine has a childhood best friend who had thyroid cancer at 21 (now 38 and clean), but her cat got diagnosed w/it and has to do the RAI now. Sort of a funny thought.... -------
