Guest guest
Hi, ive been a member for a while, but havent posted in a very long time. This group has been great for helping us out over the years!!! Now i need some info again. My son has Moderate to Severe hearing loss (post-lingually) and i had heard years ago about waterproof/water resistant hearing aids. I wondered if anyone knew anything about them. My son is 18 and it would be wonderful if he could feel comfortable going to the beach with his friends. Right now he wont go with them at all cause he hears nothing without his hearing aids in. We found out last week that Vocational Rehabilitation is paying for some new " regular " hearing aids (and getting him a job - Double Yea Ha!) and i swore if they did that, that we would get our son the " extras " . And along that line, we havent looked at new hearing aids in 7 years. What kind do you all like for your children. I would like to get him a pair that are compatible with an FM System. He doesnt want an FM System, but both his audiologist & I think it would be good for him. Right now he has Resound programmable which are about 7 years old. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks Betty
