Just wanted everyone to know that Cedie's heart cath & biopsy went

well. It only took 1 hour (they said it could take 1-4 hours). We

all just knew that Cedie would have a major downfall afterwards and

would take a while to get over it (this has been the case after ever

procedure thus far). She had to remind us that she is in charge!

Everyone, including us, are AMAZED at how well she handled it all.

She was awake and ready to play 15 minutes after they brought her

back to the bed. She has truely shocked us all. Her night nurse

was sure that she would come in and find thaT Cedie had been

transferred to ICU but NOPE! She is such an amazing, strong girl!

(Can you tell how excited I am) She just proved that you should

NEVER underestimated these CHARGERS!

The cardiologist said that structually, her heart is good. Her

pressures were a little high and the O2 a little low but both were

normal for a patient who has been on a vent for an extended period

of time. The bad news, we still have no idea why she has needed the

vent for so long. We just hope the pulmonologist doesn't start

pushing for the open lung biopsy again.....

A couple weeks ago, one of the attending drs told me that after we

go ahead and get the cath done we can talk about going home. Well,

you can bet I reminded everyone of that yesterday afternoon. It

would be so great if Cedie could be home by her 1st birthday!!!
