Yea about the surgery. How wonderful for her. I love the topic of having

to watch 's weight. We do too! Never in a million years would I have

guessed we'd need to focus on that.

Patty does tia chi and loves it. We only have the videos but they are

wonderful. They put her in such a good place.

Thinking outside the box have you thought of her being a masseuse? Also, we

are going to look into having Patty take a photography course this summer.

That'll be just a hobby for her. I know you want to think outside the box

(hey that's where we live) but when you do make sure whatever you are doing

leads her down the road to being able to find work. You know, supply and

demand!

By the way, I went to a Transition workshop at Perkins last weekend. It was

phenomenal. Have you signed and put through the last page titled " 688 " ? If

not do it RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!

Best wishes.

Great news . Pleased for and good to hear from you again. I

have been wondering where you were. Missed your deep deep posts.

Very good luck in trying to work out a career. Sorry, can't help. It took

me forever to come up with one for myself! What is interested in? I

am guessing something arty from your suggestions so far?

Hope the meditation continues to go well. It can only do her good. And tai

chi? I am nuts about martial arts so a very biased " go for it " from this

corner. Can't wait till can do some too.

Flo Mum to - 6 next week and Elly - 4.

Hey ,

I'm glad to hear how is doing! I haven't heard from her in a long

time! She has been a busy girl, hasen't she? I hope that she would go back to

school, and find which majors she would really like to do.

Hey, does she still like animals? She can do what I did before I graduated

from highschool. Find a nice community colleges, that got agriculture/animal

science programs, so she can major in any kinds of animal related field she

want, cool huh? Or, there are some dog grooming training school, and she can

learn how to groom and bathe the dogs. I went to Mt Sac (San College in

Walnut, I used to take 3 buses to get there), and I major in Pet Science. Then,

I transfered to an Adult Ed Training School, and majored in Pet Grooming! Cool

huh? Tell her what I said, and let her know that I encourage her to take some

animal related classes, okay-dokey?

You metioned the balancing part here, right? HHMM...does she knows/like

karate? Cuz, that could help out to improve her balance a lot! It work for me,

and look at me now! 1st white belt, 2nd yellow belt, now I'm an orange belt!

Cool man! And, it did improved my balance better too! She should enrolled in

some special ed karate class ya know, to help her with her balancing problms.

That's all for now, tell her I said 'hiya' alright? Oh Yeah, I wanna remind

you and that my b'day is next month (june 16), cool man! Adios Amigo!

Many thanks to all who helped me learn and cope with this latest

challenge. She's going to take the summer off from school after many

years of 11 month school terms, and then will return to Perkins for her

senior year. We have many things to do. She began meditating in

Would we have ever dreamed that the little blond peanut would someday

need a diet-LOL. Too many admonishions (?)to EAT! in her formative

years, apparently. As she is going to remain on some movement

restrictions, we'll try tai chi first as a means to improve her balance.

(Kim-smiles).

And I've been trying to think outside the box for career direction for

her. As earnings are not necessarily an issue, I've been trying to

think of craft type professions-pottery, stained glass-somthing like

that, that she might like to persue-she's not interested in college

right now(academic burn-out). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

We also saw Dr. Glaser in April, and he Rx'd certain herbs for her that

are designed to strengthen and rejuvenate the nerves. I'm waiting till

she's home from school to begin the herbs, but I will certainly report

on their efficacy as we go along.

Peace and love to you all,
